At the beginning of Russia’s “special operation” into Ukraine, it was dismayed to learn that many pieces of military equipment that it thought it had locked and loaded were actually pieces of shit.

In the years since, the army’s materials have improved, largely due to the country pivoting its economy toward wartime manufacturing. Still, there are occasional incidents that show that its armaments may not always be up to snuff.
